There's still time to send in items for the Tri-Community Food Pantry!
Cayuga Heights Elementary has partnered with the pantry to collect their most needed items including: canned meats and vegetables, mac and cheese, cereal, toiletries, peanut butter and paper products. Students have until Thursday to make their donations.
In addition to helping out a local organization, the food drive also works to promote problem solving and compassion which are Cayuga Heights leadership themes for January and February.
To make it fun for the kids, there is a grade level competition. The grade level that collects the most items will win cookies graciously donated by CRUMBL cookie shop on Transit Road in Depew.

As donations come in, the fourth and fifth grade students from our Cayuga Cafeteria Crew have been working hard to count and sort the items!
There was also a poster contest for the fourth and fifth graders to help promote the drive.
