The Depew School District wants parents to be as informed as possible about the many challenges that our students face in today’s world. These challenges are not only drugs and alcohol, but also social media, and mental health. We will also review the eligibility policy and the academic requirements throughout the school year to participate in extracurricular activities. This is a proactive attempt to confront these serious issues in order to create a safe and healthy environment for all our children. Know that as we embark on the next chapter of your child’s educational journey that we will work together to strive for a positive transition and preparation for life's challenges.
This is mandated for the parent/guardian of incoming freshmen and transfer students new to our District. Your child will be unable to attend school-sponsored activities and dances, such as Homecoming or Prom without your attendance at one of the scheduled meetings. The parent or guardian MUST complete the program to fulfill the requirement prior to the child’s attendance at any of these events. ** Please be advised that all school -sponsored events during the month of September and October are EXEMPT from this policy. You only need to participate one time for your children to participate. If you participated with an older sibling, please call the office so that we can verify and give you credit. This activity is due by October 11, 2024.
Please join us in making a positive difference in our community and in your child’s life.
