Due to safety protocols and regulations, we need to change the transportation pick-up and drop-off locations of all Middle School and High School students, effective September 3, 2024. The Cayuga Elementary transportation pick-up and drop-off points will remain the same. For the 3:05 pm pick-up, parents should not arrive until 2:45 pm.
During the time of COVID:
-More parents transported their children to and from school.
-To separate school buses from the car traffic, the district moved the MS and HS pick-up and drop-off to the rear of the building.
School Bus Safety Concern:
-There is no bus loop behind the MS and HS. This means that there is no physical separation between buses and cars. This is a major safety issue.
-In the afternoon, students are boarding buses, athletes are walking through the buses to get to the athletic fields and staff cars are leaving the parking lot at the end of their day.
School Bus Change for September 3, 2024:
-We are asking that more children ride the school buses. This will reduce the number of cars at the building and create a safer environment.
-To protect our students, the MS and HS buses will be using the bus loops in front of the building.
-We ask parents driving their children to use the back of the building for pick-up and drop-off purposes.
