On June 7th, nineteen students competed in the annual Cayuga Heights Fourth Grade Spelling Bee. All finalists were awarded a participation trophy for proudly representing the top spellers from their classrooms.
The runner-up was Kellan McGloin from Mrs. Jasinski’s classroom. The champion, Brayden Skotarski, is a student from Mrs. Worley and Mrs. Alessi’s classroom. There were many rounds of challenging words, before Brayden correctly spelled the winning word “jewels” to secure first place.
