Emergency Closing Information
The decision to close Depew Schools is made when the safety or security of our students may be threatened due to hazardous conditions, including weather or other emergencies. Following the decision to close, communications will begin for the total notification of our students, staff, and community. Please tune in to one of the following radio or television stations listed below for the most current information. The district will also initiate a recorded phone message to your designated phone number through our Global Connect System. Parents, please be sure you have provided the school current, accurate contact information so we are prepared to reach you in the event of an emergency. Every effort will be made to arrive at a decision by 6:00 a.m. so families can plan their day accordingly. Parents are urged to make plans for the emergency supervision of their children should an all-day closing, a delayed opening, or an early closing of school be necessary. This plan should be discussed ahead of time with your child in the event the situation should arise. In the event school is closed, all related activities including extracurricular activities, athletic events, field trips and community education classes will also be closed for that day and evening unless otherwise notified.
